My decision on joining BikePure was quite easy. There are too many racers today that I once looked up and now look down upon. Especially as a junior, a lot of the pro racers are my idols. As I see more of them test positive I regret that I even noticed them. But I’m just an older junior, younger juniors that always know what is going on in the pro tour always say, “ I want to be like [insert pro rider name here] when I grow up!!!” It is every junior’s dream to become pro and race in Europe. And when young juniors find out that the professional they look up to tests positive, it is up to them to either not look up to them anymore and move on or continue to follow and defend their favorite rider. Either way the professional has influenced the young junior wrongly and is setting a bad example. If the young junior were to continue to support their favorite pro rider, what if they ended up doping as they got older and moved into the big ranks and wanted to take a short cut???
I believe short cuts are for those who don’t have the heart to put 110% into what you are doing. Short cuts are for people who don’t have the courage to do it right, which means that they aren’t racing because it’s their passion. Doping shouldn’t be the answer to win a race. So I joined BikePure to campaign and help safegaurd the future of cyclesport because the future, like myself, and all fellow juniors do not want to rely on doping to become pro or win races. Winning clean, fair, and right is the best feeling anyone could ever have.
And if you agree with me, go to Bike Pure and sign up today to take a stand.
