This year's Jr World Championships are in Moscow, Russia. And to qualify and race the Jr World Championships you had to win the Soto Classic in Franklin, Tennessee. So from Belgium I flew straight to Nashville, Tennessee and my dad picked me up from the airport because he drove our motorhome all the way over from California to Tennessee.

On Saturday was the TT. It took place on the Natchez Trace Parkway. It was a good road to have a time trial, very smooth. And the terrain was perfect, nice and steady rollers. It was quite hot and luckily I found a perfect shady place to warm up. When the time came, I rolled on over to the start line, rolled out, put my bike on the jig, did a knee test, and got myself ready for a very important time trial. Unfortunately, the Jr Women 17-18 course got downgraded to 10km long. After a 'blink of an eye' ride, I ened winning the TT and qualifying to race the TT in Moscow, Russia!!!!! I was super pumped when I found out the results!

On Sunday was the road race. It started at the same place as the TT. The course was amazingling perfect. Lots of challenging hills and a good length of 57miles. I decided the day before that I wanted everyone to race this road race. So I planned to make it a difficult race for everyone so that the winner truly deserved to race. When we hit the first hills I attacked hard and drilled it. On one of the downhills, Kendall Ryan launched a hard attack and no one ever saw her from there on out. Although all the other racers were looking at me to close the gap, I did not. Kendall Ryan ended up winning and I finished in 2nd. It's funny that this race situation has happened before and no one was able to realize it. Otherwise, I am very very happy that Kendall went home with the victory!!! Kendall Ryan and I will both be racing Jr. World Championships in Moscow, Russia!!!
